About Four in a Row (Connect 4)
Four in a Row (Connect 4) is a fast two-player classic. Players drop coloured discs into a 7×6 vertical grid; gravity pulls each disc to the lowest free slot. The first to align four of their discs in any direction wins.
How to play
- Take turns dropping one disc into a column.
- The disc falls to the lowest empty cell of that column.
- Connect four of your discs in a row, column or diagonal to win.
- If the grid fills with no four-line, it is a draw.
Tips & strategy
- Control the centre column — it touches the most winning lines.
- Set up "double threats" so a single move creates two ways to win.
- Always scan for your opponent’s three-in-a-row before you attack.
