About Shikaku
Shikaku is a satisfying area-division puzzle. Partition the whole grid into rectangles (and squares) so that each rectangle contains exactly one number, and that number equals the number of cells in the rectangle.
How to play
- Every number sits in exactly one rectangle.
- A rectangle’s area equals its number.
- Rectangles cover the grid completely without overlapping.
Tips & strategy
- Prime numbers force a 1×N strip — fewer options.
- Work from edges and corners where placement is constrained.
